Hello everyone, it's been a while since I made a journal. I've made quite a few followings since then and I thought we should all get acquainted with each other again. 
My name is Meril, I'm a freelancing illustrator at the moment and I live in Pasay, Metro Manila Philippines. My favourite type of job and artwork are for book covers and table top game cards. I'm an absolute hermit and rarely get to go outside nowadays because of my job status, but I'm lucky to have iRL friends that are there for me all the time. <3 I LOVE watching TV shows such as; Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, etc. (sooo much) and recently I'm obsessing with Westworld lol!

Finally, I was thinking of gathering my own list of resources. Since I get a few questions here and there about learning materials and all that, would anyone like to know about them? I'm doing this also for those asking and also myself because I'm unorganized with my bookmarks, I want to finally just gather them all up in one post. I know there's already a ton of other existing posts out there, but it wouldn't hurt to share mine.
If you want to share yours ahead, I won't stop you. I will add them to the master post if they're not already there. But you could also comment there in the future. It will be on a deviantart Journal here and my website.

Are you fellas on twitter? Twitter's become my hiding cave for some time now. I find it's so much easier to connect there and talk to people! And completely guilt free when posting Work in Progress paintings! Haha

Website + Book Cover Walkthrough

Hello ladies and gents, DA friends!
After 85495024 years I have finally made a website. I just uploaded my 3rd cover art for Elise Kova's Air Awakens series; Earth's End. And I wrote a really in-depth of my process, from the thumbnails to design problems, to the finished art. Also.. I'm sure some of you have noticed the name change. Sorry for the confusion if I have indeed confused you! zwx was a pseudonym that I got tired of and realized had no meaningful context. So I said, you know what? I'll just stick to my original birth name!
